73 New Dwellings, Over 3 Sites, for Oxford City Housing

Feltham Construction have been awarded the contract for the 73 Dwellings in Oxford, we are extremely pleased to be working alongside Oxford City Housing on this scheme.

The project is spilt into 3 sections of works:

Section 1 – Cumberledge Close: Works at Cumberledge Close will comprise of the design and construction of nine, three storey houses, together with associated drainage and external works. All houses on this site will be for social rent.

Section 2 – Elsfield Hall: On this site will be the design and construction of 26 residential apartments, in a three storey block, as well as communal areas. All units are to be a mix of social rent, shared ownership and private sales. This scheme also involves the construction of a new site  entrance, car parking and security fencing.

Section 3 – Between Towns Road: This site will provide 35 residential apartments, in a five storey block, including communal areas, in additional this scheme also includes the construction on three, three storey houses. All units on site are to be a mix of social rent, shared ownership and private sale. Off site works includes paving  and landscaping works to site entrance and footpaths to Between Towns Road.

Park Reach, Newbury

14 Unique 1 and 2 Bed Private Apartments

Park Reach is a brand-new scheme of fourteen high quality private apartments, built over 3 floors built for Feltham Properties our sister company.

The development features a range of one and two bed apartments, with a high specification finish. There is also allocated parking for each apartment.

The development has been designed with excellent energy efficiency, including a large roof mounted solar array that will provide some power to the building and also provide electricity to the onsite car charging points.

Belcher Court, Dorchester-on-Thames

4 New Dwellings, Oxfordshire

The scope comprised of the design and build of 4 new residential dwellings with garages, for open market sale, in accordance with the schedule of accommodation.

The new homes are a mix of 3, 3 bed houses and 1, 4 bed house, as shown below.

Rose Hill, Oxford

43 New Apartments, Oxford

The project at Rose Hill comprises of the Design and Build of 43 affordable apartments in Oxford,  the development will consist of  two blocks providing a mix of one and two bedroom flats, 25 of these dwellings will be for shared ownership, at Desborough Crescent, and the remaining 18 for social rent at Ashhurst Way.

The new homes have been constructed to Lifetime Homes standard and are due for completion September 2020.

Woodlands Farm Phase II, Beaconsfield

The works at Woodlands Farm comprised of the conversion of an existing office block, into new build residential dwellings.

The scheme also involved the erection of a commercial office unit located adjacent to the new homes.

External works included landscaping and site wide infrastructure.

Fred Francis Close External

Fred Francis Close, Havant

38 New Dwellings, Portsmouth

Feltham Construction have recently completed a  38  development at Fred Francis Close of Kinsgclere Avenue in Havant for Portsmouth City Council. The scheme comprises 30 x 3 and 4 bedroom family homes together with 8 x 2 bedroom  apartments together with associated roads, sewers and a large central play area.

The units are of traditional construction with brick and block cavity walls, constructed under a JCT Design and Build Contract 2011.

Development commenced in August 2017 with off-site highway enabling works followed by the main site works in September 2017. Handover of the complete development took place in early April 2019 with all units occupied in April / early May.

History of the Site

The site was named after the inventor of Scalextric, Fred Francis whose factory was located close by the development. Fred’s widow and two daughters attended the launch of the site and were present on completion to hand the keys of a brand new wheelchair accessible house to the first family moving in.

Brill House External

7 New Apartments and HMO Block

For over 20 years Housing Solutions have been providing good quality, affordable homes to rent and buy across the South East of England.

Brill House is one of two key schemes Feltham Construction have worked on with Housing Solutions, the other being Warren Close.

This project comprised of the design and construction of four, 3-bedroom houses and four, 2-bedroom houses.

In addition, a 2-storey block containing 6 HMO (house in multiple occupation) units was also included on the scheme. The structure was built with a communal kitchen, dining area and lounge on the ground floor, as well as five 1-bedroom assisted living flats, including a separate bedroom area for staff accommodation.

Holder House External

Holder House, Abingdon

35-37 Oxford Road, Abingdon

Holder House is a new supported housing scheme in Abingdon and is part of the Richmond Fellowship group.

The scope comprised of the refurbishment of the existing buildings, together with a two storey extension to create a new 14 bed facility, with communal areas.

In addition, a self-contained single storey building was also constructed to provide a separate sleeping accommodation and office space for staff.

Beechwood Grove Front External

Beechwood Grove, Caversham

Extra Care Apartments, Reading

Beechwood Grove is an extra care scheme for over 55’s based in Caversham, Reading.

The project started initially with the demolition of the existing 1930 & 1970s building, followed by the design and construction of 43 1-and 2-bedroom assisted living apartments for rent and shared ownership.

Within the development were also many communal areas including large lounge areas, dining facilities, activity rooms, as well as beautiful landscaped gardens.

The Beechwood Grove development was shortlisted for the ‘Inside Housing Award’ for ‘Best Older Peoples Housing Development.’
