Fred Francis Close External

Fred Francis Close, Havant

The site was named after the inventor of Scalextric, Fred Francis whose factory was located close by the development. Fred’s widow and two daughters attended the launch of the site and were present on completion to hand over the keys to the first family moving in to a brand new wheelchair accessible house.

Works comprised of the construction of a 38 dwelling development at Fred Francis Close of Kinsgclere Avenue in Havant for Portsmouth City Council. The scheme included 30 x 3 and 4 bedroom family homes together with 8 x 2 bedroom apartments together with associated roads, sewers and a large central play area.

The units are of traditional construction with brick and block cavity walls, constructed under a JCT Design and Build Contract 2011.

Development commenced in July 2017 with off-site highway enabling works followed by the main site works in September 2017. Handover of the complete development took place in early April 2019 with all units occupied in April / early May.

Brill House External

Brill House, Maidenhead

For over 20 years Housing Solutions have been providing good quality, affordable homes to rent and buy across the South East of England.

Brill House is one of two key schemes Feltham Construction have worked on with Housing Solutions, the other being Warren Close.

This project comprised of the design and construction of four, 3-bedroom houses and four, 2-bedroom houses.

In addition, a 2-storey block containing 6 HMO (house in multiple occupation) units was also included on the scheme. The structure was built with a communal kitchen, dining area and lounge on the ground floor, as well as five 1-bedroom assisted living flats, including a separate bedroom area for staff accommodation.

 

Holder House External

Holder House, Abingdon

Holder House is a new supported housing scheme in Abingdon and is part of the Richmond Fellowship group.

The scope comprised of the refurbishment of the existing buildings, together with a two storey extension to create a new 14 bed facility, with communal areas.

In addition, a self-contained single storey building was also constructed to provide a separate sleeping accommodation and office space for staff.

Beechwood Grove Front External

Beechwood Grove, Caversham

A2 Dominion are a residential property group with a social purpose, they reinvest 100% of their profits into building new homes, managing existing homes, and supporting local communities.

Beechwood Grove is an extra care scheme for over 55’s based in Caversham, Reading.

The project started initially with the demolition of the existing 1930 & 1970s building, followed by the design and construction of 43 1-and 2-bedroom assisted living apartments for rent and shared ownership.

Within the development were also many communal areas including large lounge areas, dining facilities, activity rooms, as well as beautiful landscaped gardens.

The Beechwood Grove development was shortlisted for the ‘Inside Housing Award’ for ‘Best Older Peoples Housing Development.’

Churchill Way Spelthorne

Spelthorne 2, Surrey

A2 Dominion are a residential property group with a social purpose, they reinvest 100% of their profits into building new homes, managing existing homes, and supporting local communities.

Spelthorne 2 comprised of two schemes that formed the 5th and 6th garage infill sites for A2 Dominion within the Spelthorne area.

Works started with the demolition of the existing garage blocks and the erection of a 2 storey building to accommodate 2 semi-detached dwellings.

Kenyngton Drive, shown in the first image consisted of a single detached unit and two semi detached dwellings.

Churchill Way, shown in the second image comprised of the demolition of the existing garage sites and the erection of a 2 storey building to house two dwellings.

Abercrombie Mews External

Abercrombie Mews, Bracknell

Works comprised of the demolition of the existing buildings and the construction of 28 new Flats for Shared Ownership tenures.

The scheme was located at Larges Lane in Bracknell, the 28 dwellings comprise of one and two bedroom flats, including eight apartments for shared ownership and 20 apartments for rent. The project also included the retention of a stunning central mature Willow Tree that became the centerpiece of the communal landscaping scheme.

The houses are traditional masonry construction.

 

Dora Carr Close

Dora Carr Close, Oxford

GreenSquare Group is a major provider of housing, regeneration, care and support and commercial services across Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. We have worked collaboratively with them since 2015 building over 80 dwellings.

Works at Dora Carr Close, Oxford consisted of the construction of 19 new three and four-bedroom homes. The varied roof profile aims to reflect Oxford’s historical skyline and changes in unit type. The dwellings comprised of 4 x 4 bed houses and 11 x 3 bed houses for social rent and 4 x 3 bed houses for shared ownership.

The scope also included all external and landscaping works, each house has a designated entrance porchway with a built in bin store.

 

Maple Gardens, Milton

Feltham Properties was incorporated in 2013 and is the sister company of Feltham Construction. It was incorporated to operate alongside the traditional construction-based core of our business to focus on the partnering and developing of housing schemes. Feltham Properties operate throughout the Thames Valley area on new-build and change of use schemes from £1m to £20m GDV.

Maple Gardens is a brand-new development which consisted of the design and construction of 18 new family homes in Milton. Prior to construction existing services had to be diverted including a pumped Thames Water main and gas service. The development provided 6 affordable homes and 12 properties for open market sale.

Clapcot Way, Wallingford

SOHA Housing is an award winning, community-based housing association working in and around Oxfordshire. They provide homes for affordable rent and shared ownership for people who prefer to rent or are unable to afford rent or buy in the private sector.

Feltham have been working in partnership with SOHA Housing for over 15 years and completed over 20 projects with them building over 150 dwellings to date.

Clapcot Way is located in Wallingford and the project consisted of the the demolition of the existing 3 former youth club buildings and the design and construction of 10 new traditional build houses, comprising of 6 x 2-bed houses, 4 x 3- bed houses, all for social rent. Works also included the construction of a new access road, landscaping and connection to all mains services from Clapcot Way.

Clapcot Way is a narrow, built up neighborhood with resident’s vehicles parked on the road. Space on site was very limited. This provided logistical challenges for the S278 Road Improvement works that required careful planning and management on site. Plant and equipment movement was planned in advance and managed through banksmen which enabled the works to be completed succesfully.

 

Southmoor Gardens Kingston Bagpuize

Southmoor Gardens, Oxford

Southmoor Gardens was built exclusively for those aged 55 and over and have been thoughtfully designed inside and out.

The project comprised of the design and construction of 10 new retirement homes for Blue Cedar Homes for open market sale, together with associated external works, drainage and mains service connections.
