Woking is a town in northwest Surrey, England. It is at the southwestern edge of the Greater London Urban Area and is a part of the London commuter belt with frequent trains running continuously.
The project at (7-9) Chertsey Road comprised a complete strip out and conversion of the upper parts of a 1970’s commercial office building into 14 flats, which also included an extension to the 5th floor to create 2 penthouse apartments that were formed on a light weight steel structure placed onto the existing roof. The construction was formed without the benefit of any external hardstanding access.
The scope required the replacement of all windows to the façade, as well as an upgrade to the mechanical & electrical services.
