The scope also included the demolition of the existing 1930s school building that previously stood on the site.

The new building was a concrete structure at ground floor, with a steel frame building above from first floor to roof.

Construction included shear and girder walls at ground and first floor levels, a Monodraft Cool Phase and Heat recovery ventilation system, an area of green roof and the feature circular roofs were zinc clad.

Curtain walling was also included to elevations and zinc clad circular roof was also fitted.

In line with the Planning requirements, the building design and construction stages were delivered to meet the BREEAM Very Good accreditation requirements.
