The Tech Edge 1 & 2 project at Harwell Science Campus was a landmark commercial development that delivered high-quality science and technology workspace within an attractive landscaped setting.
Our works covered the full project lifecycle, from design, supply, and construction through to installation, testing, commissioning.
The scheme was carefully designed to respect and retain existing trees, enhance the qualities of its landscape context, and provide modern, flexible shell and core buildings – totalling approximately 15,329 sq m (165,000 sq ft) across the two buildings—that could adapt to the varied needs of Harwell and its tenants from day one.
With infrastructure upgrades to support utilities, enhanced road and access improvements, and the creation of pedestrian walkways to encourage biodiversity and active travel, Tech Edge 1 & 2 set a new standard for industrial buildings by combining sustainability, high-quality architecture and future-ready layouts within a welcoming and appealing external environment.
