Charterhouse is located in Godalming, Surrey and was founded in 1611. It is one of the UK’s leading independent boarding and day schools, providing an outstanding education for boys and girls aged 13 to 18 years old.

The project comprised of the refurbishment of the Schools individual Dining Halls, Kitchens and Serveries to create a large open-plan dining area with modern kitchen and serving areas to enable the school houses to eat meals together. The large 2 storey vaulted ceilings with decorative panels and bespoke lighting were a feature of the refurbishment.

The project included adaption and extension of the existing ventilation systems, plumbing and heating and electrical systems.

Close coordination with the kitchen, servery and dining room furniture suppliers was essential to ensure the quality of the build was acheived.
